My story "Lyceum," which first appeared in The Dystopia Triptych Vol. 1, is available in Lightspeed Magazine's February 2022 issue as a reprint!
The story is about Florizell Ito, the owner and lead programmer of an AI company called Sakura Labs. Her son dies tragically in an accident and the educational program she's created (AIDEN) - based in part on her son - becomes a kind of ghost in the human machine. The story is my way of looking at the emotions of dystopia through the lens of grief and loss.
