I mentioned on my Twitter (http://twitter.com/karinlow) that come 2012, it would be 10 years since WARCHILD was published and I was thinking of running some kind of contest to win some swag, and to say thank you to all of my readers who've followed my career this far. I'm going to go ahead and run this contest.

The details are still being worked out and I'll take a picture of the swag. It's not going to be a random contest, I've decided, where names just get put in a hat and I pick them at random. I want real fans who would really want the prizes to submit.

For more details, follow my Twitter or check back on the main page of my site here: karinlowachee.com. I'll post a reminder once all the rules and such are up.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! <3

Wee wee wee so excited!

Ten years... woah... to think that I've only found these books two years ago... I missed so much! Glad to be here now, though... because the books, the author and the fans are awesome. ^__^

http://www.karinlowachee.com/warchild-universe-10-year-anniversary-contest.aspx

As I mentioned on my Twitter and Goodreads page, I wanted to run a "contest" for my readers who have so diligently followed my career and writing for the past 10 years. To this day I continue to receive lovely emails from readers, from all over the world, who have for their own reasons fallen in love with my science fiction books and to my amazement, reread them at different points in their lives. I've always said that this communication with my readers is the greatest result of being published and distributed. As a show of appreciation, I'll be signing and giving away some exclusive "swag" related to the Warchild Universe.

Here is a picture: http://instagr.am/p/d7smu/

Included in the MAIN PRIZE will be:

* 1 ARC (advanced reader copy) of Burndive
* 1 ARC of Cagebird
* 1 Burndive magnet
* 1 Burndive cover flat
* 1 Torcon HB Fenn poster, featuring various covers of different authors, including Warchild
* the main prize winner's first name to be used in my next published story (this can be a short story or a novel)

Included in the 2nd and 3rd prizes will be:
* 1 Burndive magnet
* 1 Burndive cover flat
* 1 Torcon HB Fenn poster, featuring various covers of different authors, including Warchild

I will sign, personalize, and date the books, cover flats, and posters.

HOW TO ENTER:
To enter to receive these prizes, please write to me at jos_musey [at] yahoo [dot] ca (be mindful that it's .ca NOT .com). Included in your email will be a maximum of 500 words telling me what exactly you've enjoyed about the books and how you discovered them.

I will read every entry and choose the one that impacts me the most. I know that it's going to be a difficult choice and it's entirely subjective, but I wanted to give my die-hard readers an opportunity to express themselves to insure that this swag goes to someone who will appreciate it, rather than to an arbitrary name. The 2nd and 3rd prizes, however, will be determined by random shuffle of the remaining names after the main prize recipient has been selected. By submitting to this "contest", you're agreeing to abide by the final decision I make. The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, January 31, 2012. I will announce the prize winners some time before Valentine's Day in February 2012.

I wish there was some way to personally and tangibly thank every one of my readers - but short of giving out prizes like this, I'll get on producing more stories from the Warchild Universe for you to read. Smiley I look forward to reading what everyone has to say!
